We had a massive wind storm the other nite. It was pretty windy when I went to bed, but didn't think anything of it seeing as how it's ALWAYS windy. However, around 1:30 in the morning I started getting pretty worried (a girl on my facebook put it perfectly, "I honestly thought my house had been picked up and moved to Kansas (get it? Wizard of Oz?)).
I'm always worried our big tree out front is going to snap and this was no exception. At one point I honest to goodness thought my bedroom windows were going to shatter from limbs hitting them so hard. Go figure Big Daddy was working and missed out!

excuse my nasty, ugly bushes. we replaced them last year and they have died again. it's always the same ones that live and the same ones that die. I don't know what's going on.
See the limb behind the ugly bushes? I'm assuming that's one of the ones that almost came through my window. eesh.

Glad the trees didn't wreak your house. Did the storm wake the children? Wish we could miss May,June, and July every year. I spent most spring and summers in a cellar but knew there was a purpose for everything. Have fun doing the clean up.
