We finally got to meet Chloe! We enjoyed getting to spend a little time with Kim, Chloe, & Shorty for a few days!  I have a whole lot of pictures, so I figured this would be the best way!

These don’t even need words…

Trying to take pictures from 2 different cameras at the same time, obviously we got a good chuckle out of it.

We had a really fun time getting to hang out, even if it wasn’t for very long!  It was SO NICE finally getting to love on Chloe!  Not to mention getting to spend a little time with Kim and Diane!

Camera Strap Cover

I know you have seen these EVERYWHERE on the internet, so what's one more?  Right?!
I also know that this is a totally unoriginal idea, so I in no way "claim" that it is.
In regards to that, I am not going to link you to where I copied the idea from, since I used a few ideas from several places.  It's basically common sense anyways! :)

Here we go!
*I did this when my camera was out of commission, so these are horrible phone pics. Sorry.*

I took my camera strap off and measured it.  You'll need to add length and width to accomodate your seam allowances.  I think my strips were about 2.75 x 27".  I chose two different fabrics, but you could easily do this with just one.  In that case, I'd probably make your cuts around 5 x 27".

Start off by sewing your strips -right sides together- with a 1/4 inch seam.  Press down.
This step would also be totally optional, but I personally hate how rough and uncomfortable my camera strap is, therefore I added a little bit of padding.  You could make this as thick or thin as you wanted.
I had extra flannel from a rag quilt so I just used that and I think it's perfect!

Cut your padding to the correct size and pin to your outside fabrics

On the ends of your straps, fold over 1/4 of an inch and press.  Fold over again 1/2 inch and press again.  This will give you a pretty seam!

I stitched the seam twice.  Depending on how big you made your fold over allowance, you could do more it you wanted.  Not only will it make the seam a little stronger, I thought it made it look a little more decorative.

Now fold your strap (right sides facing together again), pin, and sew

The hardest part out of everything is turning your strap right side out!  Once you do that, iron it flat and you'll end up with this!

So what started out as this....

Turns into this!

Ahhhh, much better!

Easy Peasy!

Family Day

Big Daddy and I both took Friday off so we could have a family day! We started out with breakfast at IHOP, visited the zoo, and went to the Discovery Center.  It was a beautiful day and we all had a lot of fun!

Prepare yourself for a TON of pictures! *lucky for you I narrowed it down to a quarter of how many I took!*

We got a really good up close shot of the lion.  He was not happy about the tiger being across from him. He kept pacing back and forth staring at him.

Bobcat – Landry liked this one.  He kept saying “oh, kitty!” “meeeow, meeeoww”

I’m not sure what this little creature was, but I felt so sad for him.  He just paced back and forth over about a 2 1/2 foot distance.  I think he was depressed.

Right now they have a dinosaur exhibit.  Landry was NOT a fan!  It was really quite comical, as evil as that it!

Like I said, we had a really great time – even though our zoo is kinda pathetic and Landry was a little young for the Discovery Center, I’d totally do everything again!  It was so nice getting to spend the day with each other!

On another note, Sav brought Kinslee over the other day to take her 1 month pictures.  Obviously Landry had other plans…

Hope everyone  has a fantastic weekend! I’m looking forward to the next few days!!  I get to finally meet a pretty little girl I’ve been wanting to for a LONG time!! (And I get to see her momma and Shorty!) WOOHOOO!!!
