Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day! And what a wonderful one it has been! Chris has to work at the station today, so yesterday morning we celebrated a little early and him and Landry treated me to breakfast at IHOP!  It was delicious, I seriously ate so much food I thought I was going to be sick!  We had a great time though and I really enjoyed it with my two guys!  We had some friends come over last nite and Chris smoked some ribs and we had corn on the cob, macaroni salad, potato salad and rolls.  I'm pretty sure I gained 12 lbs yesterday alone.  It was so worth it though, Landry of course put on a show for them, he always likes when Savanna comes over so he can show off for her!

The past few days Landry's nose has been a faucet.  It's horrible.  Then all nite last nite, he coughed and coughed and coughed.  I'm pretty sure we'll be going BACK to the dr. this week.  Poor kid's allergies are awful.

On another Mother's Day note, when I got up this morning, I found a mix bouquet of flowers and two sweet cards (one from Big Daddy and one from the 3 kids, *Landry, Ansley, & Addison)  The flowers are gorgeous and the cards are seriously so sweet, I cried.  Landry even colored on the kids card for me.  Chris had bought it all yesterday and set it all out this morning for me to find.  I am so blessed by my little family.  I truly couldn't ask for anything better in life.  This time next year miss Ansley will here too!  And I'll have another pretty face to kiss and say thank you to!

Here's a mother's poem I received the other day, and I just think it's great, hope you enjoy it too!

Mother's

Real Mothers don't eat quiche;
They don't have time to make it.
Real Mothers know that their kitchen utensils
Are probably in the sandbox.
Real Mothers often have sticky floors,
Filthy ovens and happy kids.
Real Mothers know that dried play dough
Doesn't come out of carpets.
Real Mothers don't want to know what
The vacuum just sucked up...
Real Mothers sometimes ask 'Why me?'
And get their answer when a little
Voice says, 'Because I love you best.'
Real Mothers know that a child's growth
Is not measured by height or years or grade...
It is marked by the progression of Mommy to Mom to Mother.....

The Images of Mother

4 YEARS OF AGE - My Mommy can do anything!

8 YEARS OF AGE - My Mom knows a lot! A whole lot!

12 YEARS OF AGE - My Mother doesnt know everything!

14 YEARS OF AGE - My Mother? She wouldnt have a clue.

.16 YEARS OF AGE - Mother? She's so five minutes ago.

18 YEARS OF AGE - That old woman? She's way out of date!

25 YEARS OF AGE - Well, she might know a little bit about it!

35 YEARS OF AGE - Before we decide, let's get Mom's opinion.

45 YEARS OF AGE - Wonder what Mom would have thought about it?

65 YEARS OF AGE - Wish I could talk it over with Mom.

The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure she carries, or the way she combs her hair.

The beauty of a woman must be seen from in her eyes,
Because that is the doorway to her heart,
The place where love resides.

The beauty of a woman is not in a facial mole,
But true beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul.

It is the caring that she lovingly gives, the passion that she
Shows, and the beauty of a woman with passing years only grows!

Isn't that sweet?  I believe Mother's day is like Valentine's day, you should celebrate with the ones you love on a daily basis, not just on a specified day.  However, for my sweet hubby and kiddos to think of me, melts my heart.  So babe, thank you so much for my breakfast, flowers and sweet card.  I love you so much and am so thankful for you, you have no idea!  I LOVE YOU!!

To my mom, you are truly the best mom in the world.  Not only are you a mom, but my best friend.  I love you more than anything and am so grateful for all you do for us.
Landry is so lucky to have you as his Grammy and I'm so blessed to call you mom.

Another shout out to my aunt Diane, who is not only a great mom, but it's her birthday as well! So happy birthday and happy mother's day Diane!!

And last but not least, to my cousin Kim.  Baby Chloe will be here very soon!  I hope you enjoy this mother's day, next year you will have that sweet baby to hold in your arms!  We're so happy for y'all and can't wait to meet that pretty girl!

Sounds like you had a great time. Mother's Day cards with toddler "handwritting" is awsome.
