The Big Reveal's!

I took some pictures of Ansley's nursery and Landry's big boy room!  Like I said, there are still little things that need to be hung and such, but majority of everything is complete!

This is Ansley's quilt!  You can't tell in the picture but there is a ruffled ribbon running along the black dotted fabric.  I LOVE how the bedding turned out!  Thanks mom for making everything!
A few more of mom's blankets!  Landry has several of these that she has made and they are by far his favorite!  I hope Ansley loves her just as much!
This was Landry's crib! I don't think many people were on board with painting all the furniture black, but I could not be happier with how everything turned out!  I think it looks awesome!
The dresser's were originally my mom's when she was little and they are what I used growing up.  They used to be white.  I also LOVE how they turned out!  I plan on putting glass knobs on the drawers, but Lowe's hasn't got anymore in!  Oh, and do you LOVE the lime green rug?  I think it makes the room!  My dad kept telling me how horrible it was gonna look and blah blah blah, and now he loves the rug the most!
Big Brother Landry showing off the rag quilts that mom (pink) and I (polka dotted) made!
The curtains mom made!  Aren't they great?  She also made the flamingo painting.  In case you don't know, I have a crazy obsession with flamingos.  She surprised me with this a few weeks ago and even though i'm in love with the bedding and curtains, I really think the flamingo painting might be my favorite!  She also has a pearl necklace on!  PS. Kim, I can't wait for Ansley to be able to wear the flamingo outfit ya'll sent her!  hehe, there will be a picture! :)
The taggie and matching blanket I made.
Can you see her pearl necklace? :)
Changing table that used to be Landry's as well!

And finally.... here is Landry's BIG  BOY ROOM!
He loves his room and is so proud to show anyone who is willing to see it!
I plan on ordering a fire station bell from Amazon at some point and hanging it above his bed.
Also, when he's a little older, his bed will face into the room and be centered under the faux brick that says Landry's fire station.
Here is his new dresser and his reading corner.  I haven't decided what to do with his giraffe from his nursery, so I just propped him up there for now!
And in case you didn't notice all the doors missing in the rooms, it's because our new ones are almost DONE!!

Here they are!  LOVE them!

Okay, so now that you've seen the kiddo's rooms, onto other pictures!
Have you ever seen or heard of these?  You put one of the tablets in the bathwater and it turns colors!  It comes with red, yellow, & blue tablets or you can mix them to make other colors.

I've been kinda nervous to try them, but the boys were at the house the other nite so I thought it would be a good chance to try them!  They choose blue and I think it's actually pretty cool!  It didn't stain my bathtub or any of the kids skin, so I consider it a success!
Do you notice that Harli had to sit in Uncle Terry's lap during bathtime?

On Saturday, I had Em, Ella, and Kaden meet me and Landry at mom & dad's to go swimming.  Landry had Kaden pushing him around in his car playing the music.  Anywho, Ella started "dancing," it was so funny!  The girl has rhythm!  She especially liked the rap song.
Then Landry dug through the cabinet that has all the pool stuff in it and found my flower swim cap that mom had got me and put it on by himself!  The video is nothing special, but he's hilarious in the cap!

Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend!

Father's Day Fun!

Big Daddy had to go back to the station yesterday, so we decided to go visit him for Father's Day!

My brother, sis-in-law, and nephews went with me and Landry for our little road trip as well!  We stopped and got a cake for Chris for father's day and grabbed lunch and showed up at the firehouse!

After lunch we looked all around.
The boys had to check out where he slept.
Okay, so the fire poles....
I always ask Chris if he using the poles?  He almost always tells me no, he uses the stairs.  In which I reply that that is ridiculous and he should just slide down the pole.
Well, the boys are obsessed with the firepoles.  All they talked about was getting to slide down them.  We
had all told them that they could.  WRONG.

This is the fire pole in the kitchen/dining room.  Now, I do give credit because it has a gate and is enclosed in kind of a meshed metal.  However, it's about a mile to the floor.  The cute little hatch opens up when a person's weight is on the pole, so Chris would pull on the pole so we could see how it opened up.  We (the adults) quickly agreed that the kids were absolutely NOT going down that pole.  The station is so tall it's almost the equivalent of 3 stories.  Yeah, not gonna happen.
So the boys pouted and whined.  I asked them "I thought you wanted to come down here to visit your uncle and wish him a happy father's day?"  Do you know their reply?  "No, TT, we wanted to slide down the fire poles."  Well, okay.  At least they're honest.

This is the fire pole in the bedroom.  Notice that it has no safety netting or ANYTHING around it?  Eesh!
Thankfully Big Daddy was a sport and slid down the pole to show the boys.  I think I got the biggest kick out of it though!
That's why I'm posting this youTube video, I saw this a while back and ever since then every time I think of that fire pole, I imagine Big Daddy doing this!

Holy cow, I seriously think that's hilarious...

Then the boys had to all work out.
This was taken about 2 1/2 seconds before Chris sounded the sirens and my child jumped 10 feet in the air.  I really don't think I've ever laughed that hard!

He tried to put the seat belt on by himself!
We have such precious boys in the family!
Our little family.  And yes, I'm a whale.
Landry was also really interested in the pole but couldn't quite figure out what to do with it!
Keevan, being the little monkey that he is, climbed up the pole a good ways!
Then came back down!
A few of Landry and Chris.
I love this one, I just wish he wasn't sticking his arm out!
We got home mid afternoon-ish and headed to mom and dad's for some Father's Day celebrations with my dad.  We got to swim and they cooked out, so we had lots of great food!  I never did get a picture of Grampy with the boys, but I did get a picture of Landry enjoying his cupcake!!
I have a great dad, a fabulous dad for my children and a brother who is wonderful to my nephews.  I could not be more grateful for the three of them!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!
