What a wonderful Easter we had!
I took Landry to the doctor on Friday for strep throat and Ansley was running a 102.1 fever on Saturday, so we didn’t do much, but we enjoyed it anyway.
I saw a cute idea on Pinterest, so I thought I’d do it with the kids.
Saturday night, we “planted” magic jellybeans!
Then covered them in hopes E.B (have you seen HOP? It’s pretty cute!) would leave us a surprise!
We left out carrots that night too.
Sunday morning, the carrots had been nibbled on and he had left some of his tail fluff on the table! He also left foot prints and chewed carrots leading to the kids goodies!
Landry wasn’t too happy as you can tell, I don’t think he was ready to get up yet.
He quickly changed his mind though!
Besides the kids goodies, E.B. also hid some eggs for them to find
Then we went outside to check our magic jellybeans and found 4 giant suckers!
As usual, mom made a great Easter lunch! We figured they had already been exposed to the kids illnesses, so it wouldn’t hurt to be around them.
The Easter bunny visited their house as well, so the kids baskets got more use!
This is the best it got for a family picture
The best part? Eating all the candy!
Grammy & Bam Bam’s Easter bunny also brought bubbles! While Chris went to his families Easter, we stayed a little longer to play with them.
I know none of this is the reason we celebrate Easter, but it brings kids joy, and that’s all I can ask for in their lives. I thank God everyday that he chose to forgive all our sins and let us live on this earth. We are so blessed.
Happy Easter!
Glad you got lot's of Easter pictures. I was sorry I missed the egg hunt. They had a good time and got lots of candy and gifts. I enjoyed the food Danny brought to me for two meals that Devonn prepared for the special day. Thanks Tori for your phone call. Kim called me too.The children looked so cute and happy.
