Mountain Time Fun!

We spent the past few days in the mountains! It was a great time had by all!

Landry loved getting to see Angel Fire's ladder truck around town on  Saturday.  I think the firemen were trying to learn how to use it!

Saturday we went to Eagle's Nest.  Savanna and me went in my favorite little store that sells stones to make necklaces with (and I think the lady who owns it is funny - and crazy... literally).  Anywho, she was telling us how Sean Penn was in town filming his new movie up in Idlewild (where our old cabin was).  Needless to say, we went on a paparazzi mission.  We found the area where filming was, and these pictures are at the RV park where the dressing rooms, trailers and catering van were.

Dressing Rooms

His very own catering van!

We never actually saw Sean Penn, which was a bummer, and I think I embarassed Chris, but it was cool to see everything!

And this is some creepy tent that Savanna was intrigued by! Weird, I know!

We spent some time at the park, which of course Landry loved!

Going...

Going....

Gone.

Savanna convinced him to go down the giant slide, and after the first time down, he just wanted to go again and again.  Savanna and me were worn out!

We had to force him to go down the "baby slides" so we could have a break!

Saturday evening Rene, Josh, Collin, & Quinn came up, so Sunday was full of the boys playing HARD!!

We saw Steve the squirrel.

And all the gorgeous leaves changing.

Took Ansley to see the log for the first time! She loved it! (can't you tell?!)

The 8th Wonder of the World.

Landry was wired on our way home today.  He talked and sang and played hide and seek the whole way home!

Where's Landry??

There he is!!
We had a wonderful weekend! It was great to get away for a few days, but now it's back to reality!!

2 Months

UPDATE:
Ansley had her 2 month appointment this morning! She weighed in at 12lbs 2.5 oz and is 23 1/4 inches!
She's in the 98th percentile in height, weight and head circumference and is the average size for a 3 1/2 month old baby!  The nurse also "accidentally" gave her a flu shot.  I freaked out.  The doctor swears it'll be okay.  Needless to say, I didnt' pay for anything today.  Yea, like that makes it better that you injected something into my 2 MONTH OLD CHILD that she's not supposed to have for 4 more months.  Blah.
anywho... continue on.

Ansley Dawn, you are two months old today!!
So pretty girl, what have you been up to?
You wear size 1-2 diapers. Two's fit better but i'm trying to use the last of the one's we have left!
You mainly wear 0-3 month clothes but you're starting to wear more of the 3 month one's too.
You wake up 1-3 times during the night depending on what time you go to sleep.
You're still eating about every 3 hours (give or take).
You're smiling some now but you won't do it for me when I have my camera out.
You also have forgotten how to roll.  I knew it would happen, i'm anxious to see when you re-learn how to!
You've found your hands and love to chew on them!
You're not a super big fan of tummy time but you LOVE the swing and vibrating chair.
You have an attitude.... I know, I know, who would've thought!
But you're so pretty, I think it's okay for now!
Landry calls you "Sissy" and loves you so much!  He's so precious with you and kisses you all the time!
You're so lucky to have him as a big brother, he's going to take such good care of you!
Baby girl, we love you more than you'll ever know! We're so blessed you're in our lives.  I look forward to every new day I have with you and your brother.  You're daddy and I could not be more proud to be your parents!

Love you!!

Pumpkin Pickin'

A little flashback....
my sweet little boy this time last year.

This seriously makes me so sad. He has grown so much, so quickly.
And this is yesterday.  Look how grown up my baby is.

Last year, I wrote that hopefully this year Landry would cooperate and take a great picture at the pumpkin patch for me.  Mission...fail.  again.
This one is cute though.

Our next sad attempt.  We kept having to explain to Grampy to cover up Ansley's diaper, because it's inappropriate for girls to show their stuff, but he never quite figured it out.  (and yes, I forgot to cut the ribbon shorter on her dress.  oops.)

Grampy and his girl

Instead of Grumpy, it should be Goofy.
It never fails that when I say, "you could smile," he gives me this cheesy thing.

The kid LOVES him some chapstick.

Great idea on dressing him in an orange shirt to go to the PUMPKIN patch.
duh.

Poor Ansley.

I love the look on her face.  "listen Grampy, quit messing with my poof."

It was pretty windy, so Grampy & his girl sat in the jeep while the rest of us shopped for pumpkins.

And just for giggles.  This is how Ansley was when we got home.
I need to remember to take the bows off when she's in the carseat.
Once again, I end this post with.
Hopefully next year I'll get a really good picture at the pumpkin patch.....

The End.
