Happy Birthday Mom!

Happy Birthday Mom!
You are absolutely hands down, the greatest person that I know.  Not only are you a fantastic mom, but I could not ask for a better person to be a Grammy to our kids.

You are my best friend and I do not let you know how much you mean to me near enough.  I know we have had our disagreements, but you have always been there for me regardless of what happens.

I am so extremely thankful to have you in my life.  God blessed me with the best mother in the world, and for that I can not be more grateful.

You love my kids unconditionally and they love you the same.  You will never understand how much I appreciate you watching them.  Landry loves getting to go to “Ganny’s” house (as I’m sure you know!).  I know that they are handfuls, but you never complain.  I will never be able to thank you enough.

Thank you SO much for all you do for me and my family.  I would be lost without you and I hope someday I can be the mom to my kids that you were to us.

What lucky kids we have to have you as their Grammy!

So on your special day today, I hope you have the greatest one yet! You deserve it more than anyone I know.  I hope you know how much you mean to me and I love you so much!
Happy Birthday!

Picture Frame Wreath

This might be one of my favorite crafts so far! I really like how it turned out and I think it’s so fun!  I had seen this from Tater Tots & Jello awhile back and thought it was great and then I searched Pinterest for “picture frame wreaths” and saw some other fun stuff! (PS- let me know if you want to be invited to Pinterest!). So here’s what I came up with.

I started off with 2 black plastic frames and painted them turquoise

Cut out a bunch of triangles on my Cricut (I glued 2 layers together to make them a little sturdier and then punched holes in the top of them all)
misc. may 011
Then using my scrap fabric, made a bunch of fabric rosettes

I figured since hot glue would melt being out in the heat, I better not attach the flowers that way.  Instead, I tied them on.  I just kind of sewed through the flower using embroidery thread and then tied it around the back

I picked up two B’s from Jo-Anns and painted them bright orange.  I also tied those on!
frame2
I made the bunting out of my little triangles and some rope and tied it on.  Added a little yellow ribbon and hung it up!
frame3
Here’s the other door’s wreath.  I used a smaller B for it.

I know it’s kinda hard to see them through the glass, but you get the idea!
frame4
Easy, cheap and super summery! Love it!

Mother's Day Wreath

I finally made a yarn wreath (after having everything for one for f.o.r.e.v.e.r)! I gave it to mom for Mother's Day and I think it turned out pretty nice.

I attached the fabric rosettes to a square of felt

and attached that and the bunting with velcro strips, so she can remove them and do anything with the yarn wreath.

Doesn't hurt that I matched the colors and fabric to her V-day bouquet of flowers!
