Wishlist Surprise!!

So 2 weeks ago, I posted Wishlist Wednesday.  Back in September when I hadn't had my new camera long and I was debating between getting a zoom lense or a 50mm lense.  I finally went with the zoom but always had my eye on the 50 mm.  Anywho, yesterday when we were getting home, the UPS man was leaving my house.  I'm thinking "hmmm, I haven't ordered anything..." So we go in and I go to get the package and see that it's from Amazon.  I'm thinking "what in the world, I know I didn't order anything from Amazon..." All the label says is my name.  I open the box and start crying (so what? I'm emotional!)  I immediately think oh my goodness, someone sent me a new lense!
Guess who it was?

This guy! He actually paid attention to my blog that day! And wanted to surprise me with it!
**notice that I'm excited to use the new said lense and he has to act goofy**
Then he told me that it was from Landry.  So, whoever it was from, I love you boys! I think my new lense is fabulous!!
And our first baby, Addison.  Isn't she beautiful?
Seeing as how I couldn't get any decent pics inside I told Landry if he bundled up he could go outside for a little bit.  Let's just say that I got even worse pictures out there! He was SO excited to be outside!
Getting ready to slide
Uh, Dad? This one's a little bigger than the one in the house.
And this is what happens when you bring your child in from outside when he's clearly not done playing.
That's right.  I kid you not, the kid threw a major tantrum.
Once he finally calmed down, daddy and him had to wrestle and play as usual.
Thanks for my lense Big Daddy and Landry! I absolutely LOVE it! Truly one of the best surprises ever! Love you!

Ahhh, Young Love!

Before we get to the cuteness of young love, I thought I'd updat ya on Landry!
I took this pic on Thursday and you can definetely tell how much better he is!  By Friday, his body was almost back to normal and now he just breaks out and turns red when he is hot or hyper. My sis-in-law Monica had got him in with the allergy doctor she works with so he put him on a 24 hour antihistimine on top of the other one he was already on.  So now he takes the 24 hour one in the morning and the other one at nighttime. Hallelujah! And he's almost back to his normal sleeping schedule - can I get an AMEN!
Friday afternoon, Emily brought Kaden and Ella over to play!  Kaden of course went to the basement to play the Wii, so the lovers played upstairs!  Landry tries to be so gentle with Ella and he especially loves to "pet" her (and kiss her!).
See how he just lays beside her while she plays?
Having a conversation about the safety of driving
Isn't she pretty? I just think she's a doll!
I promise he's kissing her hand and not biting her!

More kisses
I'm tellin' y'all, it's meant to be!

Hope everyone is having a fabulous start to their week!

Susie Homemaker

Several months ago, I had purchased a TON of firefighter material.  My thoughts were that I would make Chris a quilt to take to the station for him to use instead of the blanket that he has.  I had all the squares cut and everything... and then nothing.  Life just gets a little crazy with a toddler running around (not to mention he loves to play with the sewing machine) so last week when I was straightening up the basement and I saw all the squares, I thought "oh, I should totally make that quilt for Chris' birthday!"  (Which was on the 20th and I had great plans to take cute pics of Landry to post telling him happy birthday, but the rash kinda spoiled that one)  So I pinned and sewed and pinned and sewed (and pinned and sewed...repeat) I had the entire front done and the back done I just needed to complete it.  Then my child came down with his reptile rash.  So the quilt was put on hold.  Yesterday, I was so tired of looking at the 2 seperate pieces, I decided to stay up until I was finished!! Needless to say, Chris got to take it to work today!

It measures 5' by 8' - I never could get it to take a decent picture- also remember this is at 11:45 last nite so I was trying to be quiet!
This is the back, I PROMISE it's not this wrinkled in real life.  I was to tired to straighten it all out for a picture though.
I really hope he enjoys using it, Landry and I had a good time making it.  Even though my fingers and back don't agree!

Happy Late Birthday Big Daddy!  We LOVE You!!

Have a great day!
